Environmental Programs- great for the younger students…

Preschool Nature Study
We help develop your student's motor, language, and observational skills while they investigate the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. We have both a.m. and p.m. sessions available.
1-1/2 to 3 hours, maximum capacity 30 students.

Ancient Living Skills
Learn to make cordage out of plant materials, build a lean-to, identify wild edible plants, stalk quietly through the forest and more!
1-1/2 to 3 hours, maximum capacity 30 students.

The Pages come to Life
Choose a story the kids are reading and we will try to create a program based on the subject, theme, or lesson. Stories with a nature-type adventure theme make especially good programs.

Adventure Programs- a wonderful way to reach alternative students…

Teambuilding

This program utilizes our low ropes course and focuses on group dynamics and pro-social skillbuilding. Participants will practice such interpersonal skills as trust, cooperation and patience. Students will leave with an understanding of how an individual's behavior can affect the group.
Half or Full day……………….. 1 to 15 ratio

High Ropes Course

This program focuses on individual accomplishment in a group setting. Students experience healthy risk taking and challenges 30 feet in the air! They will leave with a sense of accomplishment and a better understanding of mutual support.
Full day………………………...1 to 7 ratio

What are professional development programs?

In today's ever-changing business environment, your best asset is your people. Let us work with your organization to create an action learning program that builds team and leadership skills, and helps you develop into a cohesive, high performing powerhouse.

Immediate Impact! Whether you are looking for a comprehensive consultation, a short program to fit into your own ongoing training and development, or a specially designed program to address specific objectives or corporate concerns, we have experienced staff awaiting you.

What options are available?

The Heights utilizes trained safety staff, experienced facilitators, and ACCT certified facilities. Participants are offered a progression of low initiatives and high challenge experiences. Your program length may range from four hours to four days. Ropes courses can be used with a variety of businesses and organizations to achieve many outcomes. Programs are most commonly designed for team-building and leadership development, however, we can tailor a program to address your prescriptive need.

How does it work?

The activities are designed to strip participants of "practiced and scripted" behaviors. Individuals disengage from old paradigms and are enabled the opportunity to formulate more effective ones.

How much do programs cost?

Each group has different needs. We design a program specifically for your group therefore, we have no standardized fees. Please call and one of our staff will be glad to help design a proposal for your company.

Uncovering Your Team Player Style

Utilizing the Parker Team Player Survey we will explore how our individual style creates a mental roadmap - in others - of how we will behave and function in a group. We will use adventure-based simulations to explore how often those style characteristics emerge and how to recognize the "triggers" that create problems for us in a business setting.
3 days, maximum 30, $125.00 per person

Team Development Programs

Awareness Level – This level of team program is designed to introduce newly formed work teams and leaders to the ideas and concepts of teamwork. It focuses on group dynamics in their most basic form; problem solving, communication, trust, group expectations, cooperation and different team styles

Functional Level – At this stage in team development participants understand the basic ideas and concepts of teamwork, now they need to understand how those concepts relate to thier specific situation.

Implementation Level –Large order change does not exist in a vacuum, there is a ripple effect that touches everyone involved from the highest level executive to the front line associate. If the human resource is ignored, then organizational change is more difficult. We move through processes to understand the value of change and how it can benefit everyone.

About Challenge Courses

All of our programs employ the use of a high ropes course or low challenge course. Action Learning is the keystone of our brand of leadership and team training. The result of using this medium is condensed learning time as we move through simulations tied to workplace reality.

High Ropes Course – A series of foot and belay cables that constructs a sequence of "events" up to 35 ft. off the ground.

Low Challenge Course – A series of "events" no more than 4 ft. off the ground designed to present progressively more difficult challenges that bring out group dynamics.
